Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and licensed School Social Worker to join a supportive district team in Rifle, Colorado for the remainder of the 20242025 school year. This full-time, onsite position serves a K12 caseload and focuses on promoting student well-being, social-emotional development, and academic success.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and case management skills, experience in school-based counseling, and a passion for supporting diverse learners.
Responsibilities

Provide social-emotional counseling and behavioral support to students across grade levels.

Conduct assessments and interventions to address academic, emotional, and social challenges.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized student plans.

Support crisis intervention and provide counseling during student or school emergencies.

Participate in IEP meetings and provide documentation as part of the special services team.

Maintain confidentiality, documentation, and compliance with district and state guidelines.

Promote positive school climate through group counseling and proactive social skills programs.
Qualifications

Active Colorado Special Service Provider License with a Social Work Endorsement (required).

Masters degree in Social Work or related field (required).

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred.

Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and manage a mixed K12 caseload.
